License Verification During Install

License verification is the very first installer step, before any database configuration is possible. Enter the license key you received when you purchased KMD Agency and continue.

What happens when you submit your key

The installer contacts KMD’s licensing platform directly — there’s no database to store anything in yet, so a successful check is kept only in a short-lived, encrypted session token (valid for 30 minutes) rather than written anywhere on disk. If your session expires before you finish installing, you’ll simply be asked to verify again.

Once the database step completes and the application’s own tables exist, the installer verifies your license a second time — for real, permanently — and records that activation against this domain.

One license, one domain

A license is tied to the domain it’s activated on and to your plan’s activation limit. Installing the same license on a second domain beyond your limit will be rejected — deactivate the original installation first, or contact support if you need additional activations.

Common license errors

MessageMeaning
Invalid license keyThe key doesn’t match any record on the licensing platform. Double-check for copy/paste errors (extra spaces, missing characters).
License expiredYour license or its support window has lapsed. Renew before continuing.
Activation limit reachedThis key is already active on as many domains as your plan allows.
Could not reach the licensing serverA network problem, not an invalid license — this is reported distinctly from “invalid,” and the installer will let you retry.
